Prayer Points:

  • Risen Lord Jesus, you are far above all rule and authority, power and dominion (Ephesians 3:21). As we hear about situations of terrible suffering, insecurity and injustice around the world, help us to remember that nothing is impossible for you.

  • Just weeks after a deadly earthquake struck Myanmar, many people are still injured and in urgent need of medical care. Thanks to many supporters, Samaritan’s Purse teams were able to respond quickly—setting up an Emergency Field Hospital and bringing skilled surgical care where needed.

  • Dear Lord, we lift up Ukraine before You, asking for peace to reign in the land. The people have endured conflict and turmoil; we ask that You silence the weapons of war and bring harmony where there is strife. Let Your love fill the hearts of leaders, citizens, and soldiers alike. Heal the wounds of the nation and guide its people toward reconciliation and unity. May Your divine wisdom prevail, and may Ukraine experience lasting peace and stability under Your mighty hand.

  • Pray at the start of a new term for school teachers and pupils. We especially remember those preparing for exams which could determine their future choices and those finishing this school for the final time . We give thanks for the freedom of opportunities to share God’s Word in School assemblies and Scripture union groups.

  • Pray for our community around the church, including residents in the new homes, that God would use our wayside pulpit, outreach through the holiday clubs and our organisations to show them His love and grace.

  • Pray for those in our church family who are unable to join us for Sunday worship but can only view our services online. Pray that they will feel a part of our fellowship through our prayers and visits .

Romans 12v10 “Be devoted to one another in brotherly love“.

  • 6.30pm - Evening Service - Rev. A. Smyth.

General Announcements:

  • Christian Aid Week (11-17 May 2025): Help needed!
Christian Aid (CA) Week is fast approaching and this year marks its 80th anniversary. Over the last 15 -20 years, over £100,000 has been collected in the Christian Aid Week collection in Carryduff, with the money collected being used to alleviate poverty across the world. As happened since 2022, this year CA envelopes will be delivered to many areas of Carryduff and these will NOT be collected! Those receiving an envelope and wishing to make a donation can return their envelope with donation to the Carryduff Pharmacy, Hillsborough Road, or to the Spar in Carryduff, Ballynahinch Road. We have “deliverers” for many districts of Carryduff but there are still some that are not covered. If you have not helped before and have an hour to spare in Christian Aid Week (11-17th May) to deliver (Not Collect!!) envelopes, please add your name and telephone number to the sheets in the vestibule or Hall foyer or contact Danny Todd in the coming week and a suitable district can be arranged. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
